Volunteer
Surgery on Sunday is currently powered entirely by the passion and generosity of our volunteers. From surgeons, anesthesiologists, nurses, scrub techs and administrative personnel- we are eager to engage community members that are willing to lend their skills and their time to make these surgeries a reality for those that would otherwise not receive them.
For one surgery day to occur, approximately 30 volunteers are required, depending on patient volume. Besides surgery days, volunteers are needed for office work, special projects, and volunteer coordination.

Surgery on Sunday – East Tennessee is blessed to have many supporters who contribute financially and through in-kind donations. Due to the generosity of so many, Surgery on Sunday is able to provide surgeries at an average cost of $1,500 per case.
